This document provides information on the software included on the Mission Geography CD-ROM.
1. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, you may install that software from this CD-ROM. Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 is necessary for viewing the portable document format (PDF) files included on this CD-ROM. The version of Acrobat Reader provided on this CD-ROM will support Windows 9x (PC) and Mac OS 9.x. If these versions will not meet your needs, please access www.adobe.com and download the correct version for your operating system.
2. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 794d) requires Federal agencies to make electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage the development of technologies to achieve these goals. The technology required to produce a Section 508-compliant product that allows full access to the Mission Geography PDF files is in the process of being acquired. NASA and the Mission Geography team are committed to producing a Section 508 compliant product. As soon as it is produced, it will be posted on the Mission Geography web site, http://missiongeography.org and new CD-ROMs will be made available.
